Adopt-a-Buffer
What is it? Adopt-a-Buffer connects businesses and community groups to restore fish and wildlife habitat on agricultural properties in the Snoqualmie Valley.
Get Involved! We have different tiers of participation, from group volunteer restoration events to financial sponsorship of sites, or both.
Adopt-a-Downspout
What is it? The Adopt-a-Downspout initiative installs stormwater biofiltration planter boxes at the bottom of elevated roadway downspouts in urban areas. Each box, also referred to as a Box of Rain, filters pollutants from the runoff before it flows into storm sewers or the water below. This filtering process significantly removes pollutants, such as 6PPDQ which is lethal to coho salmon, from the runoff resulting in cleaner waterways for all.
Get Involved! Sponsor a Box of Rain with a donation, approximately $10,000 per site, or gather a team of volunteers to maintain a site, approximately a few hours per month of basic maintenance such as replacing the mulch. We’re currently focusing on sites in the greater Puget Sound area.

The Green Infrastructure Summit of the Salish Sea is hosted by Stewardship Partners annually in March. The Summit aims to convene green infrastructure thought leaders across the region to share and inspire research and innovation. Our goal each year is to gather organizational strengths across the educational, nonprofit, tribal, private, and government sectors. In the past 10 years across Washington, the Summit has led to financial investments in green infrastructure, implementation of community-centered strategies, creation of accessible outdoor spaces, and an increased green job workforce.
Our annual fundraiser Feast on the Farm is typically hosted in Snoqualmie Valley around September. Feast on the Farm was the first of its kind in the region and showcases living examples of farmers embracing environmental stewardship. With a renowned chef, live music, live auction, raffle, and more each year, this event is an opportunity to contribute in an impactful way.
