Salmon-Safe Farm Feature: Jello Mold Farm

Jello Mold Farm is a seven acre farm which sits in the Skagit River Delta and provides habitat to an astounding web of wildlife. Owners Diane and Dennis are passionate about growing in collaboration with the natural world and have built a reputation for pristine quality and customer service. They grow over 80 different kinds of flowers and foliages – supplying many of the Puget Sound area’s top floral designers.

Jello Mold has been certified as Salmon-Safe since 2010. The farm is free from toxic chemicals and fertilizers and is committed to land stewardship.

Did you know 80% of cut flowers sold in the United States are imported? Most come from countries with cheap labor and less developed environmental standards. By supporting growers in the Slow Flowers Society you can help preserve our domestic and local flower farming heritage. You can find Jello Mold products at the Seattle Wholesale Growers Market.

Drink Beer, Save Salmon!

We want to give a huge thank you and shout out to two of our local brewery partners: Georgetown Brewing (Seattle) and Chainline Brewing (Kirkland). This year each of these breweries produced a craft beer using Salmon-Safe ingredients and then donated the proceeds to local organizations such as ourselves. Georgetown Brewing produced their bright, golden Ecotone IPA and Chainline Brewing produced the River Ghost IPA, an enticing hazy style IPA. By choosing Salmon-Safe ingredients for these beers, both breweries are supporting farmers who protect water quality and native salmon habitat on their property. And then on top of that, the proceeds support our work engaging all people to become caretakers of the land and water that surrounds us. We thank both breweries for their support and dedication to the health of the Pacific Northwest. Next time you are ready to help save salmon, head to Georgetown Brewing or Chainline Brewing and drink some beer!
