Wallace Acres is a historic dairy farm located between Carnation and Duvall WA. Now, primarily used as a pasture for livestock, the property features an oxbow lake and prime fish and wildlife habitat along the Snoqualmie River. Stewardship Partners has been restoring and maintaining the habitat buffers for more than a decade and recently was awarded funding to provide livestock exclusion fencing and to restore 3,000’ of riparian habitat.

Today, volunteers will maintain recent plantings of native trees and shrubs. Restoration site maintenance includes clearing the area of invasive plants, digging out blackberry roots and preparing the sites for fall planting. The project site is located on relatively rough terrain and there is a fair amount of walking involved.
