How to prepare
We provide gloves, tools, water, volunteer supervision, info on Carnation Farms and an overview of the work volunteers will perform. We suggest you dress in layers (long pants, long sleeve shirt and a jacket). Sturdy footwear (work boots, mud boots, hiking boots) is recommended. An overview of the work, why it’s important and how to do it are provided. We’ll educate volunteers about the property and Stewardship Partners restoration efforts in the Snoqualmie Valley and our Adopt-a-Buffer program. Please bring rain gear if you have it and older clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty or muddy. We’ll provide light refreshments in the morning (coffee, pastries or granola bars, and water). Bring a full water bottle and a coffee cup or travel mug for refills. In addition, we do not hold anyone to the full length of the event.
