Join Stewardship Partners as we celebrate Earth Month by restoring the banks of Ames Creek and the Snoqualmie River near Carnation, WA. Light refreshments, tools, gloves and an overview of the work we are doing, why it’s important and how to do it are provided. We’ll educate volunteers about the property and our restoration efforts in the Snoqualmie Valley. Participants will help us maintain the site by digging out blackberry roots and planting native trees and shrubs along the riverbank, where the mouth of Ames Creek meets the Snoqualmie. This lovely, historic site is part of a multi-generational farm and is currently used as pasture for hay and home to a field of flowers tended by the Hmong community. Bring lunch, snacks and a full water bottle and a coffee cup or travel mug for refreshments if you’d like.

Please come prepared for the weather and wear older clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.
