Today we continue to restore the riparian habitat along the Snoqualmie River at historic Carnation Farms in the scenic Snoqualmie Valley. Volunteers will help us remove invasive plant species and possibly help plant native trees and shrubs. These efforts will enhance salmon habitat and restore the riverbank.
Light refreshments (coffee, water and snacks), tools, gloves and an overview of the work, why it’s important and how to do it are provided. We’ll educate volunteers about the property and Stewardship Partners restoration efforts in the Snoqualmie Valley. Bring a full water bottle and a coffee cup or travel mug for refreshments. Participants are encouraged to plan a day in the valley as there is plenty of room on site to enjoy a picnic and the towns of Duvall and Carnation are close by to continue your rural adventure at the end of the day.
